Principal's Welcome

Welcome to another exciting school year at Mark Twain School for the Talented & Gifted! It is my honor and privilege to welcome you to a campus where excellence is expected, relationships matter, and every student has the opportunity to thrive.
At Mark Twain, we believe every student deserves to be seen, loved, and heard. We are committed to creating a learning environment where students feel valued, challenged, supported, and inspired to reach their fullest potential. When students know they belong, they gain the confidence to take risks, grow through challenges, and achieve great things.
Our theme this year, "Quest for Excellence: All Gas, No Brakes," reminds us that success is earned through hard work, perseverance, and determination. The road ahead will require focus, responsibility, and resilience. There will be challenges, but those challenges are what prepare us for greatness.
As your principal, I promise to lead with high expectations, integrity, and heart. My commitment is to ensure every child receives an exceptional education in a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment. In return, I ask our students to come ready to learn, work hard, show kindness, and represent Mark Twain with pride.
To our families, thank you for trusting us with your children. Your partnership is invaluable, and together we will help every student grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
I am truly grateful you are part of the Mark Twain family. I cannot wait to celebrate your accomplishments, support you through challenges, and watch you discover all that you are capable of achieving. Together, we will continue our Quest for Excellence with All Gas, No Brakes!
Welcome home, Mustangs—I am honored to serve you, and I look forward to an extraordinary year together.
With gratitude,
Dr. Angela Williams, Principal
